hey, i'm lowercasenumbers. yes, i know numbers can't be lowercase, but here we are anyway.
I break things for a living—mostly web apps, networks, often my own PC, and recently my foot (long story). My background is in offensive security, but I've also spent time on the other side running a SOC and doing incident response. Turns out knowing how attackers think makes you pretty good at stopping them, and vice versa. I'm also a council member at Offensive Security Initiative (OSI) where I hang out with my internet friends and hack things.
I write malware sometimes and analyze it on occasion. I'm not great at either but I learn best by doing. I build tools when existing ones don't scratch the itch quite right.
This site is where I dump technical write-ups, showcase projects that made it past the proof of concept code that was thrown together in a hurry, and occasionally blog about security things that are interesting enough to pull me away from my terminal.
